Scarecrow decorating contest, begin decorating beginning at 9 on Saturday October 8th in the parking lot between Homer’s Funeral Home and the Loan Closet. Free to enter for the first 20 to sign up! Public judging is from 12 to 1 to pick your favorite. Winners announced at 2. Prizes and bragging rights! The Loan Closet has accessories or bring your own. Straw and wooden form provided. Just bring your creativity!

It’s time to bake the perfect fall pie for the Dushore Fall Festival, October 8th!!!!

Here are the rules:

1. It must be a PIE, the fall flavor and style is up to you.

2. It must be entered at Pam’s Restaurant by 9:30 am on Saturday October 8th.

3. All ingredients must be included written on an index card/paper and needs to include your name, phone number, and address.

Voting will be open to the public from 10 to 12 for the People’s Choice. Judging for Taste will be at 12. Winners announced at 12:30 with pie slices available to the public for a donation.

While you’re visiting Pam’s check out the cookie jar collection, grab some breakfast or lunch, shop the fall decor and maybe take home a cookie jar of your own!

Pumpkin Glamming next Saturday October 8th beginning at 10am at Dushore Agway in the greenhouse during the Dushore Fall Festival! Kids high school age and under are FREE! Adults we ask for a donation but glam away!

There will be FREE wagon hayrides during the Dushore Fall Festival, Saturday, October 8th from 10 to 4! Maps of all the events, vendors and businesses will be available. There will be a route with stops, so you can get on and off, where and when you need to all day! Please feel free to tip our volunteer tractor driver!!!

Cornhole Tournament, inside, Dushore Legion 1pm, signups from 12 to 1. Pool tournament 12pm Tennett’s Ironhorse.

The Sullivan County Library will be celebrating its 75th anniversary with a slide show and anniversary cake during the Dushore Fall Festival on Saturday Oct. 8 from 10:00-2:00!

The Library will be inviting folks to share memories from the Library’s history…locations of the Library, Library staff, and programs, when they drop by the Library.

Stop by to put together your own special bouquet during Dushore’s Fall Festival. Available from 10 to 2, make as big or small a bouquet as you like, choose the flowers that bring you joy from DABA member Franklin’s Small Town Flowers or grab a ready made bouquet for $10 or $20.

Fall Festival Beard and Mustache contest. 3pm at the DABA table. Free to enter, win some swag!!

Grumpy’s Paradise BBQ will have their food truck in the Dushore Agway parking lot for Dushore’s Fall Festival! Serving your Favorite Sullivan County BBQ. In addition to their Killer Brisket Chili, they will have Smoked Creamy Chicken Corn. Chowder Soup and Coffee.

During the Dushore Fall Festival, DABA member NorthWoods Photography will be set up in the Dushore Agway Greenhouse with a Fall theme photo set. Climate controlled!! Packages start at $25. Bring the kids, your pets, the whole family! There are special packages for Homecoming couples and groups! Available 10 to 4. Cards and photographs also available for purchase. Schedule an indoor or outdoor Fall Senior or Family Portrait session and receive an added gift to your package.

Lee Moretti will perform in front of Dushore Market from 1 to 4pm. A portion of Water Street will be closed so you can dance and enjoy the music!

Vendors and wineries will be set up throughout town, make sure you grab a map at the DABA table by the redlight and hop on the hayride to visit everyone!
