Dushore Area Business Association

Small Business Saturday

Small Business Saturday is held on the Saturday after Thanskgiving. Small Business Saturday started as a campaign launched by American Express on Nov. 27, 2010, to help small businesses gain exposure and to inspire consumers to shop within their own communities during the holiday season.

Dushore Area businesses are the epitome of what this campaign stands for! You can find just about everything you need, and many things you didn’t even know you needed, at our local businesses. Each business in DABA has their own specials on this day, so please visit them all, and there is cool free swag each participating business.

An awesome fact: For every $100 you spend at locally owned businesses, $68 will stay in the community. What happens when you spend that same $100 at a national chain? Only $43 stays in the community.* Studies have also shown that local businesses donate to community causes at more than twice the rate of chains!

Not only that, your local purchases help create local jobs, helps the environment and supports a community!
