April 27th, 2024 from 1-4pm in Colley, across from the Colley Pub! Open Farm with food, winery, music, pony rides, riding and driving demonstrations, birthday party for Daisy (31) and Chex (30), barn tours and what upcoming events are being planned. Held rain or shine!

Bring a chair and hang out for a few hours, watch some of the NorthWoods Farm clients demonstrate what they have learned. We will have three driving horses, a mini, a pony and a horse, showing different levels of training and a zippy cones course. Some of the riders will demonstrate western dressage and hunter under saddle, others will show handling skills including trail patterns, Tiko the mustang will show everyone what he has been up to and will be available for a meet and greet. The demonstrations will end with a birthday party for Dayasis (31) and Chex Express (30) who have been instrumental to teaching many people how to ride and drive, including the farm owner, Kristin.

Come take a tour of the barn and arena, meet some of the animals. There will be 4 or 5 horses, and 3 goats for sure! Sign in the guestbook, and let me know the type of events you would be interested in seeing at the farm. There will be a limited number of T-shirts and swag available for purchase, or orders can be placed.

The Trail Trotters Horse and Pony Club will be giving pony rides as a fundraiser, a donation is requested. There will be three sizes of ponies to accomodate kids and kids at heart up to 150lbs. Pony rides will be given in the outdoor arena, weather permitting from 1:30 to 3:30pm. If inclement weather, they will be given between demonstrations in the indoor.

The Colley Pub will be providing lunch items, hamburgers, hotdogs, and their delicious pulled pork that they smoke themselves. Staggering Unicorn Winery from Athens will be there all day to share the “Sweeter Side of Wine” there will be tastings of their fruit wines, and wine to purchase by the glass or bottle. So remember to bring cash or check!

Local musician, Gary Carl will be preforming live music throughout the day. He is a mixture of country, Americana, with some rock mixed in. He sings both cover songs and his own amazing music. This is FREE!
