Splash of Color Pop-Up Art Show

The community is invited for one afternoon to experience “Voices” – contemporary expressions of the feminine soul. This one day only Pop-up art show is is part of the Splash of Color Contemporary Art Series and will be located at Pealer Hall, Main Street Dushore, Pa on Saturday April 27th from 11 to 3.  Admission is free. Light refreshments available.

   Artists will be showcasing their creativity with displays of contemporary art and photography. Showing will be:

 Lisa Major, Dushore Pa who began practicing art in 1975 and will be showcasing her ceramics, acrylics and watercolor creations. She has earned awards in juries events,  has acted as juror in various events, and is a Certified Ceramics Technician. 

Amy Hoenigke, Mildred Pa is a mostly abstract painter. She started in her early twenties in the Montgomery County area; although primarily displayed her artwork in the Delaware County. Painting for Amy is first and foremost about the therapeutic process that unravels whenever she’s in front of a canvas. 

Linda Hatch Raub, DBA Photography by Linda Marie, has been shooting pictures since high school, when she took photographs for the school paper and yearbook.  Linda found her love of photography rejuvenated following a hunting trip to Canada 6 years ago.  Linda specializes in “Outdoor” photography, and enjoys taking pictures of waterfalls, structures, landscapes, and Sunsets.  Linda will be opening a gallery and studio near Sonestown later this year.

Karen Black, Dushore, Pa, a muralist, artist and local author who likes to explore the many ways nature can be creatively displayed. She will be showcasing some of her larger works as well as some 3-D art.

Sarah Charnitski, New Albany, PA is an abstract acrylics artist who recreates nature with a light ethereal feel. Graduating from Montserrat College of Art she is greatly influenced by surrealism and Gothic imagery, juxtaposed with bright ethereal colors. 

 Come and meet these local artists and enjoy the stunning variety of styles found here in Northeast Pa. This show is supported by the local community and businesses and would not happen without them.
